April 24, 2024 - Artisans of Sardinia - April 2024 (London): Dark colour and a very prominent nose. Loads of tangerine and grapefruit oil that are followed by honey, apricots and marmalade. Viscous and decadent with enough acidity to make it fresh. Beautiful

March 6, 2023 - I'm surprised to see such high scores for this. To me this was a touch unbalanced, with very low acidity for an eiswein. There's some botrytis here too, and the fruit is quite ripe/tropical in profile. For me this registers more like a baby auction auselse or BA than a eiswein; I think eiswein should have laser like acidity and really clear, flute-like fruit. So for my palate this didn't do it; YMMV.

March 4, 2023 - Very ripe and dense, showing tropical fruit, with significant botrytis adding a honeyed element. Tasty but lacks the the thrilling fruit/acid highwire act of the best Donnhoff Eisweins (like the 2010).

January 27, 2023 - Stunning pair with cigar. Petrol nose, melon, pineapple, marzipan, honey. Subtler citrus acidity. Revisited 48hrs later, showing a more intense acidity and deeper honey and apricot flavour. Some minerality and touch of salinty on finish. Still well balanced. Very long finish. Extremely pure and very precise.

My third bottle and this is always a pleasure!

December 6, 2022 - Deep Golden colour. nose of pure melon, honey, warm spices. Palate extremely pure, peach, apricot, melon, stewed pineapple, floral notes aged honey. Very precise and concentrated. Perfect acidic balance make this very drinkable and enjoyable.

This was the second bottle I've tried. It was aired slightly longer than the previous bottle I'd tried and tasted overall a bit more mellow. Less slap in face acidity but more refined. Stunningly pure.
