July 12, 2023 - I wasn’t expecting much out of this at 15yo, but it was quite lovely: elegant, nice balance of primary fruit and tertiary development. Not overly sweet as some ripasso wines can be - I think perhaps that aspect helped this feel younger than it is, but otherwise was completely in balance. Drinking nicely now and might even hang on a bit longer.

February 15, 2023 - Excellent restrained Ripasso, i.e. not overripe or alcoholic. Nice fruit flavors and tertiary development at this age. Air softens the tannins substantially leaving a beautifully balanced finish.

February 13, 2020 - on nose: meat, and rich floral. Taste: Perfect ripe, dark fruit and tannins has gone. Delicious wine

December 31, 2019 - It good to see that this ripasso are kept well after eleven years.

September 22, 2018 - The color is a thick garnet, some browning at the edges. The nose is cherry, oak/vanilla, some magic marker mixed in. Still smells deep. The front is smooth red fruit, well developed, cherry and raspberry notes. Its dry as a bone; good acidity on the middle, has softened from last time I had this; its pretty well integrated and there's an austerity to it.
The finish is medium length with the fruit leading the way then riding on a wave of soft tannins texture-wise.
