  April 8, 2019 - Terry Theise said this could be the the most elegant and refined German Gewurz he has had. Expected it to be dry for a Spatlese based on reviews but I found it on the sweet side. Light yellow color. Some spice with peach, apple and waxy white fruit. 89 points

  November 3, 2014 - Nose of heavy lychee, and initial attack on the palate much the same with a good amount of residual sugar to give it weight and some viscosity. The mid palate turns to sweet meyer lemons, quickly turning to bitter citrus and melon rind.
  
  Definitely not a subtle wine from the sweet tropical flavors to the bitterness on the finish all magnified. While this can be polarizing, I did enjoy this as a pure varietal representation of concentrated juice.

  September 18, 2010 - Lychee, floral, soft seductive nose. Fairly sweet, but it doesn't finish that sweet. Despite the richness of the wine, the hidden acidity really does keep this fresh. Long finish. Very nice.
