October 16, 2015 - It's tough to get this wine to open up. Not sure whether it was the fact that it has been in my cellar over four years or that it was decanted over two hours, but it had the distinct Andean terroir, black currants, and linen notes. We drank it alone, but it should pair well with lean meat. Not sure it's big enough to stand up to much fat.

July 17, 2014 - Lots of tannin. Almost astringent. Paired it with short ribs and even the fattiness of the ribs didn't cut the tannins completely.

April 13, 2014 - This has been in the cellar for a few years, Was pleasantly surprised by the QPR of this wine.

December 24, 2013 - Pretty dry, somewhat tannic, nose somewhat harsh with dark fruits, high acidity, and a stem smell. Taste much smoother, similar to nose with the addition of tobacco and some leather.

June 1, 2013 - Enjoyed this wine with lamb kebabs; dry; low/med acidity; cherry/black fruit flavors; medium tannins; smooth but full bodied wine; very easy drinking; gets better with a little decanting. Pairs well with food.
