February 27, 2024 - Drinking beautifully after 30 years! Quite surprised to find the delicious layers of complexity and crisp clean acid line in a 1994 Aussie Chardonnay. This wine has aged in a spectacular fashion. Fruit notes of apple and citrus are gently present, more pronounced notes nut, almond kernel, caramelised apple and tarte tatin dominate. The clean zingy acidity brings it all together and takes your palate in a delicious journey. Long finish.
If you find this wine, buy it. Call me, I’ll come drink it with you!

Palate medium intensity beeswax honey lemon oily medium finish clean medium acidity
Overall interesting to try a 22yo Chardonnay in excellent condition , not oxidised or corked -
