  August 18, 2012 - My 100th tasting note! Too bad I didn't come up with more detailed notes, but honestly this wine was just not all that complex. In essence: pretty decent merlot. The initial attack was actually quite a bit lighter than I was expecting - almost like a pinot noir, even. A few seconds later the big round fruit of the merlot kicks in. Nothing overly complex, no long finish to speak of, but it was enjoyable.

  November 23, 2011 - Opaque, medium purple color. Exceeded expectations in complexity and depth for a merlot.

  January 7, 2011 - Very little fruit, vanilla, hollow mid palate, short, sour finish with a little raspberry. Picked up on a whim to pair with a chicken dish. So much for whims!
