September 9, 2015 - A little bit overaged. Still good but not so freshness and minerality the good SB should present.

alcohol became more evident than young versions and fruit highlights to pineapple and green apple. Good in the overall but can notice it was greater back 4-5 years.

December 23, 2012 - Grew strongly on me. Just seemed like a dry version of Kiwi SB (albeit a high priced one) but got going over time with some fantastic river stones coming through on the palate. Subtle yes so you need to search for this. Good line and length. No problems drinking this as a 5 - 6 year old.

June 10, 2012 - The lychee nose& taste was gone as compared to the previous bottle I had mths ago. Much citrusy n one dimensional .

April 17, 2012 - On an average spring weeknight, we cooked up a feast of slow roasted cod, baked salmon, BBQ'd squash and mushroom skewers, BBQ'd asparagus, and rice pilaf (fresh pineapple for dessert). To help balance out the meal, I reached for a French white sauvignon blanc from the Vin Du Pays Du Val De Loire. I love how the French think of the Vin Du Pays as the bread basket of France, and label their table wines as Vin Du Pays. This is a perfect every-day table wine, made to be consumed with an average weekday dinner. Like many French wines, and unlike most American wines, this is a low alcohol wine (12.5%), which again makes it perfect for weekday consumption with dinner. I think of wine as food, and as the perfect accompaniment to wonderful food. In my little backward state, the dominant religious paranoids think of wine as liquid Satan (forgetting about Christ's miracle). Anyway, there is always immense entertainment in other people's religious-based fears and phobias. I'm just happy that the French understand perfectly how a nice Vin Du Pays wine rounds out the work-a-day dinner, enhancing the flavors and reminding us that life is transient and worth savoring. All in all, there is nothing special here in this wine. It is a well-made sauvignon blanc table wine with soft edges, and not as much acid as you'd find in an Aussie sauvignon blanc. No grapefruit puckers here. Probably spent time in an egg at some point. Smooth, and yet with a nice acid profile; kind of just right for tonight. Cheers!!

September 20, 2010 - Wildman's Sancerre and Jolivet (Matunuck Oyster Bat): Soft. Ok. Easy going. Better then the two previous vints, and I understand that every year they use more estate fruit, so that makes sense.
