January 24, 2016 - Drank this wine at Yummy Cuisines tonight with my family.
Brickish red in colour with notes of ripe plums, pepper and spice. Heat was on and off with some fruit (dark cherries, black berries) forward characteristics.
Did a wonderful job lifting the notes of the roasted duck and fried pork slices to a higher level. -

January 19, 2015 - Popped this at Asia Grand Restaurant (dim sum) to celebrate my birthday with colleagues. Lovely bottle of wine! It had a rather grapey taste, very ripe yet delicate blackcurrants and red cherries. Distinct berry flavours. Hints of earth and smokey, tobacco notes. Licorice too? Mouthfeel was light and feathery, very smooth and silky tannins. Medium+ acidity, this wine I think can keep for 5-7 more years, and is perfect for drinking now. Had a bit of a bordeaux feel to it, perhaps due to the earthiness, but the fruits are riper and more forward. Amazed with the complexity of this wine despite it being a single varietal - shiraz. A very smooth shiraz indeed. One of my colleagues commented that this is the best wine he has ever tasted, and feels it is even better than Elderton Command Shiraz, though my other colleague begged to differ.

July 18, 2014 - Blind Tasting Friday session at ES (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Popped and poured.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of capsicums, peppery spice, and a mix of red and black fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol, smooth easy medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of capsicums, peppery spice, plums, blueberries, red cherries. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Intriguingly, this was better the last time I had this. Today, this was elegant, but seemed to be a little dilute and hollow on the mid-palate, and I didn't like the capsicums.
