July 7, 2018 - In the decanter for just over an hour when we first started drinking, and was drinking perfectly.

The wine was well balanced with deep, intense flavours, predominately ripe tart plums, but notes of dark cherry and hints of violet. It was full bodied with a medium to long finish. Tannins were mid range, with a nice grip in the mid palate. Aged characteristics were evident.

Drink now. This is a lovely example of a well cellared, quality wine.

April 21, 2017 - Ruby red colour. Good nose of oak, spices, violet, blackberry pie. A lot of prune and cherry flavor at palate. Great fruity juicy. Nice acidity. The texture was so smooth and gentle. Not over fruity nor alcoholic. Good structure and smooth tannin. Pleasant drinking. Drinking great now!

May 27, 2016 - Drinking beautifully right now. Complex with intense fruit and graphite. Goes very well with a hearty meal. Drink now-2018

October 28, 2014 - Pretty well balanced, fruit still showing good depth and length while the tannins have softened and come together with really well with the rest of the wine. This drinks better than my previous note indicates and feel it has some time yet before it starts to fade.
