November 9, 2019 - Still has a mauve edge. This wine is aging slowly. Smells and tastes like a young wine. Blackcuurant, blackberry, blueberry, cherries with lemon grass. Well balanced. Great intensity. Best after one hour. My guess is that it will be at its best between 2022-2037.

May 23, 2019 - Drinking fairly well from the get go. Quite a decent amount of smoky cedar on the nose here with dark fruit, blackberry, blueberry, bramble, and aniseed. Sweet and sour. Medium bodied and not too much dry extract or tannins. Should hold for a number of years still.

October 21, 2018 - Opened first of these with some Italian. Not decanted. Medium body, red fruits, tannins fairly soft. Very drinkable though not sure if memorable? Need to try when not in restaurant.

October 2, 2018 - When I first opened this wine it was very bright, and not very enjoyable. Not wanting to think I'd blown my money I thought it might be better with some cellaring. Almost five years later it still retains the brightness and the fruit has receded further into the background. Disappointing...

July 31, 2018 - Fresh black currants, black berries, tar and tobacco with a very noticeable gum leaf character to begin with. With air the gum leaf eventually falls into the background and a bright raspberry flavour comes forward. Clean acidity, nicely structured. This isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
