August 19, 2017 - Enjoyed side by side with 04. 05 was a clear winner with substantial vibrancy and balance.

March 18, 2016 - Short (half hour?) decant. Savoury leather sour cherry nose, sweet ripe fruit, well balanced. Opened up significantly by the second glass.

February 6, 2013 - Stringent and elegant. Berries, coffee, a hint of liquorice and dried herbs. A bit sharp tannins. A bit disappointing - had hoped for a more complex and rich palate. 2006 tasted afterwards clealy much more complex and promising.

January 18, 2013 - Good structure, bitter fruit, spicy, seems to be honest Brunello. There's a hint of alcohol (14.5%) on the nose and palate. Still very young with marked tannins. With home made pappardelle and rabbit ragu at The Downtown Grocery in Ludlow, VT after a great day of skiing with my boys.

December 8, 2012 - Very enjoyable Brunello and drinking very well now. Not the biggest Brunello, but still full of flavor. Well-structured with characteristic chocolate notes. Drank from the bottle with no decanting.
