June 30, 2012 - This is smooth wine that also happens to be lively and fun. Lots of blueberry, strawberry, oak, cassis, plum, oak, cinnamon, vanilla and oak. Chewy floral, white pepper and oak finish that lasts a long time. Great structure with light tannins and juicy acidity. Did I mention the oak? I'm not a huge fan of oaky wines, but it somehow works in this particular wine, perhaps because the fruit is also shining through.

January 5, 2012 - Not bad but a bit too much of a fruit bomb for my tastes. Night 2: bit better. Nose opened up. Lots of oak and vanilla. Fruit has backed off a bit.
