December 25, 2011 - Sweet, spicey, honey-cakeish bouquet. Lighter on the palate and less full-bodied than one is used to from typical Amarone wines, more like a nice mature Valpolicella Classico than an Amarone. Pleasant mature tannins, enough to allow this wine to last for another ten years, I should think.

December 25, 2011 - Deep red color. No hint of browning at the edges. Prominent vanilla and white chocolate nose. Splendid bouquet! Round, warm and smooth mouthfeel. A bit short and watery, perhaps? Still some well-balanced tannins left. Could last 5 years in the basement!

March 1, 2008 - Deep inky dark ruby color, nose of ripe, spicy warm raisin fruit. Lush, warm, mouth-coating smooth slightly viscous feel, dense, raisiny, sun-baked, almost sweet.
