August 25, 2023 - I drank a fair bit of the 2018 as a "house white" a couple of years back But on first opening I found the 2021 to be rather unpleasant - rough, bitterness, not at all to my taste.

However, all I can say is wait! After 30-45 minutes of air it starts to smooth out and become much more approachable. The nose is fresh but muted. On the palate, all the rough edges have gone; the fruit is more to the fore: gooseberry and white stone fruit; the finish is a little tart.

Overall, after some air this becomes a decent wine, as a crisp aperitif or with canapes. It's fairly straightforward and one dimensional, but at the ~US$9 that I got these for I ain't complaining.
