Community Tasting Notes 10

April 11, 2017 - Flavour of cherry and chocolate with some almond extraxct/anise in the finish. Good tannins still and should get more complex.

    October 25, 2015 - (unfiltered) > Quite deep ruby/magenta/purple. Deeper than Taylor (tasted side-by-side w/Taylor '09 LBV)
NOSE > Aromatic, exotic, big blackberry, mulberry, wild/choke-cherry, huckleberry, lavender, & cassis.
PALATE > Big, meaty, lush, sappy & stuffed with rich fruit.
Black-cherry, wild-cherry, blackberry, choke-cherry, licorice, violet & wineberry, with lavender, lingonberry & huckleberry.
Med+ tannin & acidity. Full & thick on palate, but excellent acidity, & fat, rich/ripe tannins give it a nice balance between richness & tight sappiness. Impressive, & Insane QPR ($20)

July 11, 2015 - Rich colour, warm and rounded style, there is some heat but the alcohol is well-integrated, harmonious and satiny, vinous rather than precise or defined, good weight of ripe and plummy fruit, delicately sweet, warm spice and hints of cedar and nutty evolution, firm but ripe and finely grained tannins, excellent length. Good for what it is, especially at this price point (€ 11.99).
