September 13, 2019 - Quite possibly one of the most singular expressions of Zinfandel I have ever tasted and unquestionably going to be misunderstood by most who drink it. This is not a Zinfandel drinker’s Zinfandel. It’s too acidic; too mineral driven; too light on its feet. And yet, I was absolutely charmed by it! Particularly when I paired it with pomegranate marinated rack of lamb. At 7 years old, it’s just now entering its drinking window. I would expect this to be enjoyable for at least another 7 years and perhaps longer.

July 19, 2018 - Would earn a much higher score if not for the price point. This would be in the exceptional aisle if priced in the $25-30 range.

September 4, 2017 - Light on the fruit. Better the second day. For price, probably will not get again.

July 30, 2017 - Brought to a tasting. Interesting blend, but not spectacular. While we didn't detect much fruit, there is pepper, earth, and spice and a healthy dose of acidity.

January 15, 2017 - Tasted at winery with Tim. Doesn't scream Zinfandel (76% zin, 17% petite Syrah and 7% carigname.). On the nose a Pinot style approach. Minerals and earth and not the fruit you'd expect for a zin dominated wine. Palate is consistent. Fruit is red and easy. Balance leans towards earth. Not much fruit. A leaner wine. Extra point or two for surprise and interest. Enjoyable.
