Wednesday, February 8, 2012 - Yakima Valley blend: 45% Merlot, 41% Syrah, 8% Malbec, 4% Sangiovese, 2% Petit Verdot. Dark garnet color. Ripe cherry and plum aromas. Medium-full bodied palate: black cherry, plum, and spice. Smooth tannins. Slightly dusty medium length finish. Nice QPR. Plenty of further aging potential – I’d recommend holding any remaining bottles of the 2009 for a couple years and I wouldn’t even think about touching the new 2010 release yet. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable mid-week red.
