Bombshell is an appropriate name for this big, fruity effort, featuring cherries and raspberry jam. Could have scored this a point or two higher but the alcohol poking through was a slight detractor. Still, this one is a nice mid-week sipper if you're having something spicy for dinner that can stand up to it.
We visited their tasting room in Prosser last year and it was a fun, unpretentious experience. It was nice to find a few bottles of their wine here in NJ.

Nice bouquet, very jammy red fruit flavor packed. Deep garnet color. Easy drinking, medium body and finish; packs some punch, though, at 15.1% alcohol. An above average option for an otherwise average/everyday wine.

Yakima Valley blend: 45% Merlot, 41% Syrah, 8% Malbec, 4% Sangiovese, 2% Petit Verdot. Dark garnet color. Ripe cherry and plum aromas. Medium-full bodied palate: black cherry, plum, and spice. Smooth tannins. Slightly dusty medium length finish. Nice QPR. Plenty of further aging potential – I’d recommend holding any remaining bottles of the 2009 for a couple years and I wouldn’t even think about touching the new 2010 release yet. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable mid-week red.

Tasted at winery - this is definitely WA merlot. Classic plum and cassis, garnet red color with soft tannin and long finish. Very Good. Can easily last 5 years.

A friend and I tasted this at the winery on 3/18/11. It had a strong Syrah like bouquet of smoked meat, plum, cocoa, spice and licorice aromas. The palate was full bodied, tannic and simple with flavors of plum, black cherry, spice and licorice.
