Wednesday, April 25, 2012 - (Disclosure: John and Katie are good friends but when it comes to reviewing wines, friends or not, I call them the way I see them!). I had been holding back from tasting this bottle (so many wines; so little time!). What a great surprise! I paired this with a crab Louis at my club and it was wonderful. Lots of spice on the nose with wonderful spicy pear, light citrus with just a little oak in the mouth. Just the right amount of acid to stand up to the Tobasco on the Louis. And a long, almost sweet finish. I love Cellars 33's Pinots and this Chardonnay ranks right up there with the lighter CA Chards. I bought all I could get. This makes two Pinots and this Chard all earning 95 points for me.
