Saturday, September 1, 2012 - Deep purple color. Expressive nose of sour cherries and barnyard. Flavor of tart cherries and black fruit, somewhat glycerol, intimations of sweetness (zinfandel-like in that regard), flat tannins. The most notable character element is the carmenere that peeks through. It's an interesting conversation piece, at best, and not sure what to pair it with.
