Friday, January 25, 2013 - Cherry liqueur and underbrush really jumped out off the PnP at cellar temp, along with some high notes from the acid and oak. Medium to full bodied texture. Flavors of currant, prune, and mixed berries eventually dominate the flavor profile along with some mint, and good oak support. Shows chewy tannins (with a little bite-back on the back end), and finishes very well, medium to long in length, and with the mint note rising in prominence. This is modern stuff, but there's plenty of CdP character. There's even a slight bit of funk, but overall the clean fruit melds very well with the rustic edges. Hit its stride after 2-3 hours of air on the first night. Also showed great on day 2. No doubt an epic Télégraphe.
