Thursday, September 12, 2013 - Drouhin Laroze, M. Ilan, old Sauternes & Ports (JV's): Ruby/purple in color. The nose is ripe cherries of all kind, perhaps a bit of candy. Great texture. Lots of cherries layered on the palate. Plenty of depth. Long finish. This is a great wine and improved all night long.

9/12/2013 9:17:00 AM - Thanks for these notes. Very helpful. I have three of the CdB 09s waiting in the cellar and just ordered some Lavaux St Jacques 1er cru (around 40 EUR) and one bottle of Bonnes Mares 2010 (around 70EUR) (CdB 10 being sold out). For some reason prices of DL remain reasonable for Burgundy standards and I don't understand why, because the quality is really high... Hopefully it stays this way.
