Saturday, December 13, 2014 - Champagne - 100 Vintage and NV Champagne; 12/15/2015-12/15/2020: During a vintage Champagne tasting at a Merchant. This is from the famous Mesnil-sur-Oger vineyards. Very subtle nose with apple, mint, minerals, a bit much yeast for me. Fine perlage, elegant on the palate. This was grand Champagne no doubt but was clearly beaten by the Krug today. Given it is twice the price, no doubt where my money would go to.
