90 Points

Friday, August 14, 2015 - Had along with other brut natures, among others Juve y Camps brut nature '10 (Cava i know...what are you gonna do in a blind tasting??). Next to that, this seemed soft and sweet (despite being brut nature). As a general fan of Roederer, this is was a bit of a disappointment. Expected more freshness and razor-sharp precision. Also the price point is ridiculous... Good champagne, nothing more... nice nose though.

8/14/2015 10:34:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. We really like this wine with a few bubbles, but think it is generally too young. Interesting to sip along with a Cava. Dramatically different drops, if not for any other reason than the varietals involved. We love 'em both. Yes, it is not cheap...but far from crazy expensive. We think it will show better by 2018 or so.

The "regular" Vintage Roederer drink best within the first 10-12 years from vintage, and this may just be the same case.
