Monday, September 14, 2015 - 7th of 12, decanted an hour, perfect fill and cork, previous notes fine or better, usually very fine - deepish, dusty plum red, some development on rim; dense plummy fruit has now broadenend, slightly baked, some earth, nothing special and more purity would have improved bouquet; full and round, decent length and persistence, slightly dusty fruit though quite velvety, ready. Not as convincing as previous bottles and played second fiddle to La Ricolma 2000! Just fine (17.5/20).

9/14/2015 7:35:00 AM - hello there. thank you for your tasting notes. how much 'life' is there left in this vintage? i have a couple bottles left, and am wondering if they should be consumed before the end of the year.

    cheers

9/14/2015 11:01:00 AM - responding to Genghis88, assuming good cellarage drink soon if you like power, keep to see if more nuance develops. My guess is that it's good for at least 10 years but......I'm slightly concerned that Angelus may have been promoted above the capacity of its terroir and, in a year when RP's taste for extraction and fruit driven flavours caught the imagination, particularly on the right bank, and where there were severe September storms, notwithstanding the excellent conditions in July and August (a pointer to 2015?) longevity might be compromised.
