87 Points

Thursday, December 15, 2016 - Aged Rousseau dinner at Les Amis. From 500ml in a rather interesting bottle shape. This has definitely seen better days. Dark gold with an extremely oxidative nose. Lots of hazelnuts, heavily buttered brioche, pineapple syrup, toffee and manuka honey. Almost everyone was thinking 70s-80s. It was good if you could ignore the actual age. Weaker on the palate, with a complete lack of acidity (for a 96?!). Hardly any fruits left, no bubbles. Caramel, toffee, mushrooms.
