Wednesday, February 8, 2017 - Drank at Ginsberg+Chan Super Tuscan Wine Tasting. Lineup 2003 Sassicaia, 2003 Solaia, 2009 Tignanello, 2004 Le Macchiole Messorio, 1995 Castello di Ama Vigneto La Casuccia, 1994 Ornellaia, 2005 Masseto and 2005 Tua Rita Redigaffi.
Wow, wow, wow!!! Light brownish-red. Big and awesome nose of luvly ripe fruits with touches of spice and herbs. Round, ripe palate, silky and elegant tannins on the palate. Nearly perfect! Definitely more life in her, but sipping stunningly now. Why would anyone buy Masseto at 2x+ the price...albeit also an excellent wine?

2/12/2017 5:43:00 PM - Yes, it did not suck. Bad part, though, was the merchant holding the event already had sold out of the 1994 Ornellaia and 2003 Sassicaia. Seriously!? Worst business mind we ever have encountered!!!
