Community Tasting Note

Sunday, April 30, 2006 - Orangey rim on a still fairly deep ruby core. Closed nose - clearly tannic. Black fruits but not massively aromatic. Big, tannic structure, smooth and creamy. Bitter cherry and cedar on the mid-palate to finish. After an hour or so in the glass, the tannins had not softened and whilst there was a little black currant and dark chocolate on the nose, there was still very little fruit on the palate. Fantastic in terms of structure, but far from sensuous.
