Wednesday, April 25, 2018 - An outstanding, full throttle shiraz that warrants all the accolades it gets....as long as you like a hedonistic style.
A nose of blue and black fruit, violets, white pepper and mild vanilla, but mostly rich fruit that is followed by a big mouthful of intense blackberry, chocolate and vanilla. The wine is in a great place but may still have another 5 years. Opulent!
Beat out a 2006 Paul Hobbs Kick Ranch syrah, a 2009 Cayuse Cailloux and a 2013 K Cattle King syrah in another wonderful FM wine dinner and blind tasting.
