Friday, May 23, 2008 - This was my 2nd blind tasting of the night! It had a stinky/herbal nose of cherries that had me guessing New Zealand pinot noir, but on the palate, it tasted like a familiar earthy matured Faugeres from the regional French Coteaux du Languedoc village. There were notes of black cherries. Its smooth tannins were somewhat mellow that I would never have guessed it was a CDP. An enjoyable CDP for drinking even now. Surprising. No Decanting, straight from bottle.
