Thursday, February 28, 2019 - This bottle is showing much earthier and less floral than the last. Still a pretty dense ruby coloring here at 10 years of age. Aromas of earthy funk, mushrooms, licorice, dark fruits, and some graphite and spice. Maybe a touch of floral. Medium body, acid, and finish with flavors of dark fruits, minerality and spice. I'd drink in the near term if I had any more. Worked well with a soup style riff on stuffed peppers (peppers, ground beef, tomatoes).
