Friday, March 22, 2019 - My, my... this lady has finally come of age. It has been at least 3-4 years since having this vintage of Cos. My prior tasting suggested that this Chateau did not get the most out of their wine in this outstanding millennial vintage. However, time in the cellar proves for a wine of this caliber, proper aging brings out greatness. The nose is rocking of black fruits, black licorice, and all things St. Estephe. Iron, touch of blood, currant, and Asian spice. Combine the nose with the finish and you have a complete wine. Dare I say, an intimate experience with a bottle of wine. Goes to show judging a wine before it is ready is a mistake. Love it!
