Tuesday, April 16, 2019 - The fill was into the neck and the cork was pristine; popped, poured and consumed over the course of the evening. Deep garnet core turning to blood red at the rim. A bit restrained on the nose, offering up notes of sous bois, graphite, plums and hints of tobacco. Medium bodied, high toned, and a bit stern on the palate; made in a classic style. Lacking a bit in terms of charm; definitely a wine to consume over a meal.
