Thursday, August 29, 2019 - Redemption bottle for the last one that was weirdly off. Dark cherry red with a dark ruby rim. Super dark fruits on the nose: blackberry, blueberry, blue plum, cocoa powder, light sandalwood, eucalyptus and a hint of black licorice. First impression on the palate is medium weight with brisk acidity and crisp black fruit. Quite tight with astringent tannins that are nevertheless fine grained. Good dark fruits as well on the palate. Definitely needs a few more years to mellow out. 92 points right now.
