Saturday, August 31, 2019 - Had with dinner at J Alexander in Oak Brook IL. When opened, it initially tasted thin, with light fruits and little tannins. After we let it breathe for about 15 minutes, it started to show its stuff. Great mouthfeel, robust fruit (black cherry, blackberry, and blueberry) along with silky tannins, good terroir and a medium finish. Only slightly peppery/spicy. A nice surprise for a $50 wine (retail). Hoping I can find some locally for my own cellar.
