Tuesday, October 29, 2019 - Fairly shrunken cork. Pale copper. Restrained but unusual nose of mushroom and tomato, a little dry and woody, but also some more typical red berry fruit. There's more of this savoury muskiness on the palate, moderate acidity and a whisper of bitterness. Not as good as I remember, but maybe this bottle is past its best. Still drinkable and interesting. Added a point because the next day it was much improved, especially the aroma. Maybe it's not too old after all. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; Cornelius Wine, Edinburgh, £27].
