Do you feel age has helped this Chianti?

1/6/2020 5:58:00 AM - It would be hard to compare the two wines - the 2008 is their basic Chianti, whereas the 2014 was their IGT, so quite a bit more expensive. In addition, 2008 is at this point considered to be a poor to middling vintage for Chianti.

That said, I think generically that age always helps a well-made Chianti, so given the inherent limitations of the 2008 vintage, the wine showed as well as could be expected. But the 2014 is clearly (at least IMO) the better wine.
