Saturday, January 11, 2020 - Deep, dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, some mint, dried herbs, spices & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth texture, plush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, boysenberries & plums with spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing, but may develop further with additional aging. A nice steakhouse wine with decent structure but not a lot of complexity or depth.
