3/25/2020 6:31:00 PM - The 2017 Scarlett is special but I' not sure. I have given 2017 high scores but I haven't cracked a 2016 in a while (since December of last year). I may have to do a side by side comparison one day. Both vintages are really good.
3/25/2020 6:47:00 PM - I was disappointed in the 16 compared to the 14 and 15s which I thought were incredible. 16 for Scarlett was just not as full and complete of a wine for me. Then again the last 15 reserve I opened was super sweet. Hoping that’s just temporary.

After about 4 to 7 years of maturity they took a turn and not to my likening. Personally, I believe California wines are built to be enjoyed young and if the are at a good drinking point, why wait.
