Saturday, July 3, 2021 - I opened the 2014 of this a few months back and thought it was terrific, so having one a year older, I wanted to see how they differed (if at all).

Pop and poured. This is at peak drinking in regards to fruit still being up front, but you can tell it’s evolving and starting to give way to other characteristics. Very floral (as expected) and dusty. Deep red/purple in the glass with a bit of transparency coming through at the rim. Violets, mocha, baking spices, dark cocoa dusted blackberries and black cherries on the nose. Quite balanced on the palate with a dusty profile…nothing green or herbal here. Mid palate is dense with delicious ripe dark fruits and a hint of age coming through on the finish. I’d pop these now if you enjoy the fruit still being at the forefront.
