Monday, October 4, 2021 - Rehoboam (= 3 magnums). I was not sure what to expect considering the poor reputation of the vintage. great sense of relief after uncorking. the color shows obvious signs of age, looks like an old pinot noir. the nose is intense and delicate. sweet notes of black fruits, precious wood, humid forest. the palate is not in place right after opening. after one hour open at cellar temperature, the wine was singing. not a monter of course. delicate, medium body (-), structure is more like a mature pinot noir. the rehoboam was opened for the 70th birthday of my father and all the guests loved it. overall a great experience. Instinctively, I think the size of the content was instrumental to the quality of the wine.
