Saturday, October 2, 2021 - I uncorked this bottle several hours before drinking and put the cork back in until dinner.
Deep red. Nose of chocolate, cedar and plum. The palate has weight, structure and the silky texture that I believe Mitjavile is going for. I've tasted this vintage a couple years ago and boy this is starting to turn around nicely. It has concentration without being heavy, the fruit is still youthful, yet the wine is layered with secondary aromas.
This wine delivers pleasure at a bargain compared to some St-Emilion Grand Cru and I'd love to try this again in 3-5 years.
