Thursday, May 26, 2022 - After getting my palate pummeled by a 2013 Produttori Riserva last night I decided to switch it up to the regular Barbaresco from a less “aggressive” vintage. This is so much more inviting, even if it isn’t completely ready. The structural elements lean more towards acid rather than rough tannins, with properly balancing red fruit, as well as deep meaty tones and soaring florals. It’s pretty much classic, just not a monument, and that is totally OK.
