Wednesday, June 22, 2022 - At PNP on the nose this was a dead ringer for new world PN and on the palate as well. Medium in body with licorice, cherry and spice. If I had blind tasted this I would have thought it was The Haven by Littoria. Day two the wine was showing a heavy amount of oxidation and became a bit more jammy with preserves and a film of sediment around the glass. This specific bottle was purchased from Total Wine so I'm not 100% sure of storage or head related exposure.
Very similar notes to Geaux Tigers so I'm thinking this is just vintage. Not the typical experience with regards to Blankiet Merlot.
93+ at PNP
91 on day two.

6/24/2022 5:42:00 AM - The big reason I pulled the 13 RD was to compare to a recently pulled Kapcsandy 13 Roberta’s Reserve. It was my first Roberta and I can easily say at this point in time the Kapcsandy is better. And, will most likely will be a better wine in the long run. Made by the same winemaker as well…. I love Rive Droite and buy it every year. This one is a bit perplexing.
Going to be a hot weekend in the H!
