Tuesday, August 23, 2022 - Enjoyable CdR- pretty basic but with some decent fruit and concentration, at least for $10 ish. I think $5 more with the category gets you a lot, and is almost always worth it. A bit of unpleasant reduction on nose here at first, but thankfully blew off. Nice dark plum, raspberry preserves, a bit of savory/smoky nuance, pepper, mostly about the ripe warm fruit though. Decent acidity, needs a little more energy and structure though, and just more presence overall to feel complete.
