Friday, September 9, 2022 - Quick Visit to Ridge Lytton Springs (Healdsburg, California): 86% Syrah. Clear ruby core with fading. Attractive but generic nose without a lot of Syrah character. Chocolate, black fruit attack with medium weight, good acidity, and moderate tannins. Tart and simple. Having tasted some Paso Robles Syrahs last month, I am struck by how relatively light and uninteresting this is.
