Friday, October 7, 2022 - Bottle off the wine list over lunch at Yardbird.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red spice, ripe red cherries, dark red cherry plum, brambles. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.2%), velvety smooth medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, sweet ripe red cherries, dark red cherries, smoked toast oak with a touch of smoky earth. Long spicy finish.
Very good quality. Drinking in a good place. Oak not obtrusive.
