Bottle off the wine list over lunch at Yardbird. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red spice, ripe red cherries, dark red cherry plum, brambles. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.2%), velvety smooth medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, sweet ripe red cherries, dark red cherries, smoked toast oak with a touch of smoky earth. Long spicy finish. Very good quality. Drinking in a good place. Oak not obtrusive.

Drunk over two nights, decanted for 2 hours first night. Under vacuvin overnight.
Initially very powerful, fruit forward, firm tannin, but delicious. After some air this was refined, dark sour (but not too sour) cherries, plum, licorice, good structure, well-balanced. Medium/high acidity, firm but refined tannin, medium/long finish. Gives many 1er Cru Burgs a run for their money.
Second night similar to first, but less impressive. Suggests is at peak or just peaked. On reflection see little need to decant and just enjoy the bottle in glass at own pace. Still delicious though.

This is the 2nd night of no power at home. I had coravined a glass during the week and now pnp'd the balance. It has been over two years since I last tried a bottle and it may have lost a step but still very good. The wine opens quickly to flavors of dark cherry, plum and nutmeg. A nice smooth finish.

Similar to last bottles, but had a bit of less pleasant acidity/quasi fizz at opening that needed several hours to dissipate (unlike other 2 bottles which were fine right out of bottle). Drank over 4 days using Vacuvin and storage in fridge--was excellent over period, provided wine (or glass of wine in this case) was brought to temperature (c.1 hr in glass poured from bottle at 4C).

Powerful fruit but balanced--not overpowering fruit-bomb. Drank without a decant and was excellent from the outset. Ready to drink; probably close to it's prime but has legs to go another couple of years. Glad I have another 11 bottles!

Very pleasant but forgettable. Plush, if too broad mouth. Ripe fruit bordering on apricot meat but thankfully not getting there and just enough acidity to keep it in check.

Fourth of July pre bbq (indoors because of weather). We pnp'd. The wine opens quickly to flavors of dark cherry, plum and nutmeg. A nice smooth finish.

Wonderful. On the bigger side in '14 - led by the typically lively Keefer fruit, but maybe some more oak than I'm used to on this wine. Still very youthful in late '17, but quite giving - definitely pop and open if you like young, exuberant Pinot Noir. But seems likely to have a long and interesting development ahead.

Here we are back to some big fruit expression. A darker and richer expression than the '14 Sonoma Coast PN. Soft palate, light tannin. Still a balanced finish, but the fruit is pretty rich. 400-500cs.

Dark cherry, hint of cola and savory maybe menthol. Nose similar to the palate. Better RRV Pinot but not my favorite flavor profile.

After drinking a Pinot from Anderson Valley this RRV is a strong contrast. Elegance vs exuberance. I love Keefer. Also, this was even better day two.
