Friday, April 10, 2009 - Bottle was in great shape; we opened about an hour prior to drinking. Purple core, turning to ruby at the edge. This bottle had a slightly different aromatic profile than previous examples (from a different case) offering up scents of dry-aged beef, ripe dark fruits and earth. Medium-bodied, with good concentration of ripe fruit flavors, nice depth, sweet tannins and a focused finish. Is drinking well now, but will probably continue to improve over the next 10 years.
