Monday, November 7, 2022 - Old friends and young wine (Kitchen Istanbul San Francisco): Holy guacamole - this is the good schist. Chosen by A from the list - a favourite of his, and not hard to see why. A bit of rubber on the nose on opening, as well as a bit of freshly cut grass. Lovely acidity (evidently the winemaker looks for “brutal” acidity). Some lemon - almost candied lemon. But such length - it goes on and on. Apparently just 12.5% abv - I was assuming this gorgeous mouthfeel came from the alcohol but maybe not. For what it seems to cost on Wine-Searcher - a Billy bargain.
